Weekly Review 18/12-24/12

December 24, 2017

We had our first runners in our new “Bullseye” prefix this week with Bully and Destiny featuring on Saturday morning. They are all now awaiting their Christmas dinners after being walked this morning.

We have no runners on the Boxing Day card but looking forward to the marathon which promises to be an exciting final. I’m taking a chance on last year’s winner Maireads Ivy getting out in front and holding on at a fair 7/2 with Betfred.

Club Dogs Performances

BULLSEYE BULLY – Bully ran in a H3 in the third race Saturday morning. After completely missing his break he paced up really well to turn 4th after some bumping and crowding. It would have been a different story if he had come out the boxes level. He was taken over the hurdles during the week at the kennel and was jumping extremely well so he is in good shape and hopefully will catch his break in his next run.

BULLSEYE DESTINY – Destiny ran twice this week accompanying bully to the track Saturday morning for an S5 contest aswell as a similar test on Tuesday. With lots of trouble in running she finished 5th and 6th respectively. she is currently running in a tough grade and finding a lot of trouble, hopefully soon she can regain some confidence and build on the promise shown in her early trails and races over the distance.

BULLSEYE DOLLY – It was a quiet week for Dolly with no run this week she was a reserve Saturday so I expect she will probably be on Thursday's card.

BULLSEYE LOLA -  Lola ran on Friday night, unfortunately her name change wasn't processed in time for the race. She finished 4th after a slow start.

Other News

It was good to see Ladbrokes leading the way with offering outside open race trainers a fair deal with the £15 race money for trainers, aswell as an increase in open race prize money. It goes a long way to encourage trainers and owners to race their dogs around the country and with crayford leading the way it should ensure that we continue to see some quality hounds at the track. I am sure all trainers are thankful to Mark Wallis, Pete Harnden and Pat Rosney for their hard work in ensuring this is replicated at other tracks.

Hope everyone has had a chance to check out our new website and has found it easy to use and navigate if not it is at www.bullseyeracingclub.co.uk and everything you need to know is on there, any questions feel free to drop us an email or phone call.

That’s all for this week, We wish you all a very merry Christmas!!!
